TowerPinkster, an architecture, engineering and interior design firm based in Michigan, is looking for a talented Commissioning Engineer. This position is responsible for Building Systems Commissioning projects to ensure the Owner’s Project Requirements are met throughout the project. Commissioning is a quality assurance service to ensure that building systems work as intended through a systematic, documented, and collaborative process involving peer review, construction observations, functional testing, and training. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Owner’s to develop the Owner’s Project Requirements Development of Commissioning Plans for projects. Provide peer design review of building envelope, plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical systems. Conducting site observations surveys, and preparing field reports on the status of projects and completion of projects with respect to compliance Partners with Clients to advise on problem resolution within the scope of the design. Creating and carrying out test procedures, while diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and repairs. Partner with Contractors for design specifications. Ensure that equipment operates as intended while meeting the Basis of Design and conforming to the Owner’s Project Requirements. Making improvements and offering guidance on operational procedures. Prepares general condition survey reports. Writing reports and creating necessary documentation, as well as other administrative duties. Ensuring safe working conditions, while communicating project safety requirements per regulations. Familiar with codes, local project regulations, construction practices, and the latest equipment functions. Participates in professional trade associations and organizations. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related discipline a plus Certification as a Commissioning Agent, either CxA or BCxA.
