Campus Wide Upgrades

Blanchard, Michigan // 71,187 sq. ft.

The Montabella Community Schools project involved a series of targeted site and building improvements aimed at enhancing safety, circulation, and overall campus functionality. Driveways were reconfigured to improve traffic flow, creating designated areas for parent drop-off and staff parking. A new bus turnaround and parking area was added just south of the newly constructed upper elementary playground, along with a canopy near the bus garage to provide covered parking for out-of-service buses. Pedestrian movement across campus was also improved through a network of concrete sidewalks that connect parking areas, building entrances, and key campus destinations. Additionally, a new north-south walkway leading to the stadium will be lined with trees, providing both functional circulation and visual appeal.

Inside the building, classroom renovations and modest additions supported ongoing modernization efforts. The facility was fully equipped with a fire suppression system through the addition of a new Fire Riser room. The Elementary Administration Suite was relocated to a new secure entrance, improving both safety and day-to-day operations. Combined with the newly installed playground, these upgrades marked a significant step toward creating a safer, more functional, and welcoming school environment.
