BIM Specialist

This position is responsible for providing the Architectural and Engineering production team with Revit guidance and direction. The position entails the production of construction documents for all market sectors of the Firm. This position has the responsibility of collaborating with the project teams to provide technical leadership, technical support, quality documentation, and training and development to all the technical team. Furthermore, this position integrates technical processes and provides expertise to produce quality building documents through all phases of the project, from design through construction. The ideal candidate must understand the business thoroughly as primary function is to guide the process of creating construction documents with accuracy.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide and support project teams to achieve optimum BIM performance.
  • Work with existing Revit team to transition and expand BIM capabilities.
  • Uphold the Firm practices and standards in order to produce quality documents in a timely
    fashion.
  • Create project-templates and ensure team adherence to practices and standards.
  • Provide on-going training support to include new employee training, creation of training manuals
    and creation of tutorials.
  • Partner with professional staff on reviewing all models and comments through quality
  • Review all phases of design drawings for standard compliance.
  • Create initial Revit project setup with workflow documents.
  • Initiate Revit Model for each project and prepare for production team.
  • Provide technical support to each project team to achieve consistent results.
  • Provide daily Model management administration and maintenance.
  • Be available to guide and support the daily needs of the team to include troubleshooting Model
    performance issues.
  • Be proficient in creating Parametric Families.
  • Manage detail and family libraries.
  • Fully understand document creation procedures, complex schedule creation and parameters in
    order to support the team.
  • Run Navisworks Clash detection at required phases of document creation.
  • Create, install and manage AutoDESK software deployments.
  • Serve as the Revit software administrator.

  • An Associate Degree or bachelor degree in related field.
  • Five plus years’ of direct Architecture Revit experience.
  • Revit Certified Professional a plus.
  • Must be proficient in REVIT Architecture and MEP.
  • Must have familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Lumion, Naviswork and Auto DESK Building Suite.
  • Knowledge of running Navisworks Clash detection.
  • Familiarity with Dynamo and Dynamo scripts a plus.

Architectural Project Coordinator

This position is responsible for organizing and coordinating the development of construction documents. Technical expertise and experience is used to collaborate with the project team through coordination and quality assurance processes throughout the project. In addition, participate in document and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observation during bidding and construction. This position will act as Architectural Technical Support on large scale projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand project manager expectations throughout each phase of the project.
  • Perform the coordination efforts with project designer in translating design into contract documents.
  • Review and understand project scope and contract for professional services.
  • Coordinate project team and through collaboration with all disciplines, lead the development of:
    • Project Plan
    • Code Review
    • Development of Contract Documents
    • Communication and exchange of information
  • Create, organize and coordinate the following:
    • Document format and arrangement of information
    • Document review for accuracy
    • Project milestone progress
    • Scheduling and coordinating document reproduction
  • Review documents with Designer for compliance with design concepts.
  • Support Project Manager in establishing and maintaining project milestone, deadlines and delivery dates.
  • Create and meet established goals and objectives for the design documentation process.
  • Coordinate communication and documents with clients for the project.
  • Assist Project Manager in communication with Construction Team throughout construction of project.
  • Assist Project Manager in Construction Administration, which may include
    • Monitor progress of shop drawings
    • Pay applications
    • Progress meetings
    • Site visits

Senior Electrical Engineer

Structural Engineer

The Firm is looking for a skilled professional Structural Engineer with five to ten years of professional experience for our Kalamazoo, Michigan office. This position is responsible for the structural analysis and design of buildings and assisting in preparation of structural engineering calculations and specifications. Must be able to develop drawings within a BIM Environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• The appropriately qualified candidate should be able to perform basic structural analysis and design on common structural materials and systems, including concrete, steel,
light gauge steel, masonry, and timber.
• Coordination of design work with in-house staff professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
• Assist in preparing structural engineering related calculations, specifications, and develop drawings within a BIM environment.
