Borgess Health

The Ascension Borgess Medical Office Building located in Richland, Michigan will be renovated to expand patient care and update the office to current Ascension design standards. Medexcel has engaged with TowerPinkster to develop a series of updates to the practice. The two-story building will infill shell space and be renovated to support both traditional primary care as well as an updated pediatric practice. Their goals are to expand services and patient access in the Richland community while updating the patient experience. Our team actively engaged with their facilities team, practice manager, and select clinical staff to vet concepts, understand priorities, and improve patient and staff flow.

The lower level is intended to be a single-phase design and construction effort, whereas the upper-level renovations will be phased construction to minimize the impact on their patient population. The renovations include adding exam rooms, procedure rooms, consolidated provider workspaces, imaging upgrades, and clinical support spaces. In addition to programmatic improvements, the team is also providing limited upgrades to existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure. This project is being delivered as part of TowerPinkster’s Master Service Agreement with Ascension and uses a modified Integrated Project Delivery contract in partnership with AVB Construction.
