Chapel Lake Park

Jeffersonville, Indiana // 3,530 sq. ft.

Chapel Lake Park sits along Lentzier Creek within the City of Jeffersonville’s growing east end. The 140-acre park features three sections – Chapel Lake, Nature’s View, and Lentzier Creek – defined respectively by a large lake, a medium-sized lake, and flatlands. The design works to protect the land’s natural state while providing a recreational asset and natural oasis for the community. In addition to the two lakes, the park also features nearly four miles of walking and multi-use trails, shelter and picnic areas, two playgrounds, and a fully stocked lake for licensed catch-and-release fishing. The lakes are also available for canoeing and kayaking. The 1.75 miles of paved walking trails travel throughout the park’s rolling hills and along a restored portion of Lentzier Creek. Native prairie grasses, perennials, and trees were planted to complement the landscape.
