Gerald R. Ford International Airport

TowerPinkster was challenged by GRFIA to provide expanded planning and visualization services to help sell its vision for development for Site 9, a 250-acre site around the airport.

Based on the existing Master Plan, TowerPinkster’s team is designing a more detailed campus plan for the largest parcel that the client is looking to develop. Along with the planning exercise, our team is also providing 3D visualization services to help reinforce the planning concepts and generate excitement for potential developers.

The site was designed to provide space for a variety of industries including a vibrant hospitality zone adjacent to the entry drive, an innovation zone for research and development facilities at the center of the site, and a couple of aeronautical sites with direct access to the runway.  The sites would be organized with a main drive and service drive, and incorporate a pedestrian feel with walking trails and natural landscape features.
