GRCC Raleigh J Finkelstein Hall Renovation

Grand Rapids, Michigan // 95,000 sq. ft.

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) engaged our team to help in the envisioning of one of the oldest buildings on campus. The old Main Building has been a fixture in the heart of Grand Rapids for almost 90 years. Architect Ryan Archer and TowerPinkster’s team led a diverse group of stakeholders through a planning and design process that prioritized enhancing the student experience. The renovation includes six of the seven existing floors and reimagines a series of existing spaces. There are new collaboration spaces, modernized classrooms, a reorganized enrollment, and an advising center as well as a new space dedicated to veterans returning to school. This multi-phase modernization of a legacy building will position GRCC for an enhanced student experience for the coming decades.
