Kalamazoo Promise Institute + Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo Promise Institute and Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo (CSK) wanted a coworking space to support their shared mission of encouraging area students. The first-floor space provides collaborative environments with varied furniture settings that support outreach, tutoring, training, and areas to foster communal gatherings. Bold and energetic colors invite users into a youthful and inspiring atmosphere to explore the many opportunities for their future. The new office allows CSK to expand available resources and vastly improve vital services such as Kids’ Closet, which provides basic needs items to students.

The second floor supports the administrative functions of both organizations, featuring a collaborative open office environment with private offices along the perimeter. Departments are organized based on workflow and function in a setting that encourages shared ideas and camaraderie. TowerPinkster collaborated with the two organizations to design an eclectic mix of furniture styles to create an environment that is fresh, fun, and welcoming to people of all ages.
