Milan Community Schools

The addition and renovation of Milan High School’s gym lobby celebrates the school’s remarkable 1954 state championship basketball team. The team’s historic win was used as inspiration for the 1986 film “Hoosiers.” This inviting space boasts a spacious trophy room at its heart. At the center of the trophy room sits the famous 1954 championship trophy. The strategic placement of the trophy allows visitors to easily capture photos of this iconic piece of school history. Surrounding the trophy is a captivating mural adorned with images of champions and awards from various sports throughout the school’s history.

The renovation also included the modernization of the concession and restroom areas, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors and students.
