Sam Shine Foundation Headquarters

Greenville, Indianna

In a collaborative effort, TowerPinkster, Heritage Engineering, and CMTA Engineers joined forces with the Koetter Group to design and build a cutting-edge headquarters for the Sam Shine Foundation, known for its dedication to long-term conservation. The new facility reflects the Foundation’s mission to restore natural ecosystems by protecting, maintaining, and enhancing native wildlife habitats across unique lands and waterways.

The facility boasts administrative offices, a versatile assembly space, a maintenance garage, and a flexible space designed to accommodate the foundation’s educational outreach. With a commitment to sustainability, the building is set to achieve net-zero energy consumption through photovoltaic solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and modern, energy-efficient features.

The design includes provisions for future expansion, aligning with the foundation’s forward-thinking approach. Navigating a challenging 242-acre terrain, including steep slopes and sinkholes, Heritage Engineering designed solutions and integrated environmental preservation, such as bio-swales and pervious paving. This forward-looking educational facility emphasizes low-impact horticulture, landscape preservation, and sustainable farming practices.
