Athletic Stadium

Vicksburg, Michigan

Client Challenge

The 1950’s football field and track at Vicksburg Community Schools was filled with swamp land, causing instability and drainage problems.

TowerPinkster Solution

TowerPinkster redesigned this athletic complex, which required re-engineering the fill and fixing the drainage on the football field. In addition, synthetic turf was utilized providing the district with more opportunities to utilize the space (such as practice fields, soccer, rocket football, physical education classes and bi-weekly band practices). A new entry was also created along with a visitors concession and home concession, which features a locker room that also serves the adjacent tennis courts. This project was completed for the district with little disruption and was completed in time for the following football season.
