Q: Tell us a little about yourself (where you are from, what your career path is, etc.) I’m originally from New Jersey, grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, and attended Penn State University. I currently reside in Richland with my wife, two teenage boys, and multiple family pets. I started my career at a small landscape architecture firm in Columbus, Ohio and I made my way north to Kalamazoo 20 years ago and have been here ever since. Over the course of my career, I have led departments and teams for landscape architecture, engineering, and multidisciplinary firms which has provided me with a broad and diverse experience base. I am excited for the next chapter in my career at Tower Pinkster. Q: Tell us about a favorite project you’ve worked on recently. What made it interesting? A favorite project is a new one that is in the beginning stages which is the African Expansion project at the John Ball Zoo. It is interesting because I have never worked on a zoo exhibit project before and it is always something I was interested in. This project is cool because it includes many interesting and unique design features and amenities that I am excited to learn about and collaborate on. Q: Why are you excited about leading TowerPinkster’s landscape architecture group? I am excited about leading the landscape architecture group because the team here is a very collaborative talented group of individuals that produce high-quality designs and outstanding projects, and that is a team I want to be a part of. I am looking forward to the opportunity to add my experience and mentorship to the mix and help grow the landscape architecture team and diversify our project base. Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family watching movies, golfing, skiing, playing pickleball, boating on Gull Lake, family trivia/game nights, and visiting national parks.
